“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”. Philippians 4:6

Beloved I know you worry about a lot of things, because I do too.  We all worry about so many things, too numerous to list here.  But here is the good news the God of heaven does not want us to worry about anything because He has it all under control.

Just imagine living a life where you do not worry about anything.  Someone will say that is impossible, but friend with God all things all possible.  I believe that it is possible to live your life with less worry than the average person, why, because you are a child of God.  We demonstrate our faith in God by not worrying.  Sometimes we worry about things we can absolutely do nothing about.  So why don’t we take the route that God has designed for us.  Here is the route, He says bring everything to Him in prayer and let Him deal with it.

When you think about it, it demonstrates the awesome love of God who cares deeply for His children.  Now you are a child of God, servant of the Highest, so you should be in a better place than the person who does not serve God.

God does not want you to worry. I have heard it said that if you are going to worry why pray and if you pray why worry.  God knows exactly what He is trying to get us to do because, child of God, worry has a devastating effect on your health if it is not dealt with in a proper manner.  Some people have resorted to prescription drugs to deal with anxiety and stress and worry.  I certainly do not fault them for trying to get better by any means necessary, but I say there is a better way and that is by following the prescription of the scripture above by bringing all your anxieties to God in prayer.  Beloved please pray about everything, the good, the bad and the ugly.  God knows it all anyway so don’t try to be cute.  Go to God and pour out your heart before Him, remember the “The effective, fervent prayer of the righteous avails much” James 5:16.

Beloved, I have found by experience that if I pray, I feel better.  If I don’t pray, I feel alone, has that been your experience too?  I believe that as christians more specifically as followers of Jesus Christ we have a lot to gain by making prayer a constant practice in our life.

Consider the following verse “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. Psalm 34:15. If you are a follower of Jesus then by definition you are righteous therefore you have the God given right to approach God. This verse says that God’s ears are open to your cry or prayers, so if you don’t pray it is not God’s fault.  He is ready to listen and help but are you ready to pray? I will have more to say about prayer in future posts but suffice it to say that prayer is vital to your overall welfare than going it alone without God.

Beloved, go to God believing that He is ready to hear your petition and grant your request.  If in fact God is not willing to do what He has promised us in the scriptures that He would do then someone has lied to us, but we know that God will never lie to us so we can take His word to the bank.  I will leave you with the following scriptures “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

So, child of God make prayer a vital part of your daily living and your life will take on a new meaning where you will begin to feel fulfilled and joyful and be at peace, all ingredients necessary to maintain a stress-free life while pursuing your ambitions and dreams in life. You can have it all. What are you waiting for? Get going child of God for the promised land is within your reach. Don’t wait another minute, take action and let God guide you to your promised land.  You are always welcome to leave your prayer request.

As always, I am eager to hear from you so please feel free to leave a comment.

God bless you.
