About Faith and Money Connection
My name is Charles Gyang (last name is pronounced like “John”). I have always loved accounting because I am interested in working with numbers, but I am also very interested in spiritual things. I pastored a small inner-city church in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 17 years. I am passionate about the God of the bible and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Being an accountant (by the way I am not a CPA, but have worked in the accounting profession for over 20 years), I know that the bible has a lot to say about making money. Honesty and integrity are very important to the God of the bible and as believers, it has to be very important to us also, especially when it comes to making money.
The book of Proverbs says “He who walks with integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways will become known” Proverbs 10:9. Therefore as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, transparency and truthfulness are very important to me. I hope they are important to you too.
One more thing about me, I enjoy playing the piano and the organ. I have also picked up the bass guitar, let’s just say I love playing musical instruments.
